Summary of the second day of the Gardenia 2025 Fair
The second day of the GARDENIA 2025 International Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Fair was marked by debates on urban greenery, sustainable spatial planning, and new technologies supporting ecology.
The highlight of the second day of the fair was the 19th Urban Garden Art Forum, organized by the monthly magazine Zieleń Miejska in cooperation with the MTP Group. For years, the forum has been a space for the exchange of knowledge and experience between landscape architects, local governments, scientists, and horticultural specialists. This year's edition, under the slogan “Greenery. A plan for a better city,” focused on conscious urban space design—one that combines aesthetics with function, ecology with technology, and responsibility with the needs of residents. The program included two thematic blocks:
Conscious design – when greenery speaks louder
- the future of urban greenery
- plantings vs. climate change
- urban greenery systems
- ecological corridors
- the role of green roofs
- water in the city
Social art of greenery – places that unite
- neighborhood greenery and community
- a city for all generations
- inclusive space
- mindfulness, relationships, designing with empathy
- the city as a space for social well-being
- social protection of trees

Participants could also take part in practical training sessions devoted to ecology, modern cultivation, and plant care. The program included meetings such as “Raised beds in practice: healthy vegetables, fruits, and herbs even on poor soil” and “Farmer-gardener – the profession of the future.”
The Polish Association of Garden Designers invited participants to a series of meetings led by Agnieszka Hubeny-Żukowska under the slogan “Biodiverse garden,” which included a lecture entitled “Biodiverse garden as an element of blue-green infrastructure,” practical design workshops, and a course on 3D visualization in the Gardenphilia program.
The Speakers Corner zone hosted lectures on marketing and sales in the gardening industry. Experts talked about building a company's image, effective strategies for increasing profits, and developing online sales. Topics such as e-commerce, social media, and the use of artificial intelligence in marketing were also discussed. The meetings provided practical knowledge on how to effectively develop a gardening business in the digital world.
